Just like every person has a birthday, every business has an anniversary. For some the day goes by and it's not acknowledged. For others a simple "Thank you for 10 years in business!" Facebook post will do. But for Tires and More in Kent, Ohio, a month-long celebration was in order.
The Tires and More team knew they wanted to do something outside of the box for their 30th anniversary so they brought this idea to their Net Driven CRM. Our social media team then began putting ideas together for how to bring this idea to life-- both to best promote the business and thank the customers for 30 years of loyalty. Together with Tires and More, we came up with a plan to do a series of giveaways throughout the month with a "Party like it's 1989" theme.
The anniversary celebration kicked off with a month-long contest for free tires for one winner who commented on the post. The post reached over 3,000 people which is significantly larger than their average audience. Every week we posted a new contest as a way to engage with the audience and thank them for being loyal customers.
These posts did well week after week not only because they were contests, but also because they included personal photos of the shop and employees. All of the personal photos that Tires and More provided were a large part of why this campaign was so successful. It felt genuine. A give away with a generic stock photo will engage well with an audience, but a personal photo of your business will leave an impression.
As a special thank you to their customers, Tires and More also had different specials going on all month long for either $19.89 or $30 to play off the year they opened and number of years in business. This was another creative way to celebrate their anniversary in a way that was going to promote their business and give the customers something to be excited about.
Putting together a marketing campaign like this can do a lot for your business. Tires and More saw higher engagement on all of their posts throughout March during this celebration and increased their number of Facebook likes. Many different elements made this campaign successful. The overall "Party like it's 1989" theme was a fun way to tie the entire campaign together and the different throwback images stood out on social media and made customers feel nostalgic.
