Fall in Love with Social Media
When you see the calendar change to February, what do you think of? The most popular answer is love and Valentine's Day. But, how can you relate this to your automotive business? Just like with any holiday, you can change your social media pages to reflect this special day. Host contests, interact with your customers, and look to gain more overall engagement on your social pages. Use these tips to help make your customers fall in love with your brand.
1. Gather customer engagement
Start a "love your car" thread encouraging your customers to post pictures of their cars and what they love about it. People take pride in their vehicles and want to show them off. This gives them the perfect opportunity to do so. This causes engagement on your page. Don't forget to "like" and comment on each picture posted. After commenting that you love their car too, suggest a service you provide that corresponds with their vehicle.
Using the tip above, you can turn "love your car" into a contest. Whichever picture gains the most likes will receive a prize! The contest can last the whole month of February and end with a Facebook live announcement. Prizes can include a gift card to your shop or a free service of owners' choosing whether it be a free oil change, tire rotation, etc.
February is a month full of different celebrations. Mardi Gras and Valentine's Day, just to name a few. If you're celebrating at your shop, share with your customers. Did someone bring in a King cake for Fat Tuesday? Did you spice up your shop with red and pink decorations? Is your favorite NFL team in the Super Bowl? Share pictures of you and your employees celebrating. Your customers will enjoy seeing that you know how to have fun too.
4. Community Involvement
Getting involved in your community helps in two ways. It provides support for your town and helping those in need while getting your name out there. As potential customers see your name and the good you're doing for their community, they'll remember you next time they need an auto or tire service. Need an idea on how to get involved this February? February is national Heart Disease Awareness Month. If you're in an area that has nice weather, sponsor a 5K. Is it too cold to be outside? Some schools also participate in programs to raise awareness for heart disease, you can sponsor one of those as well.
Sharing your experiences and showing support for your customers and community will help your business soar! By using these tips, you'll help your customers fall in love with your shop all over again.
What should I do to get more traffic to my pages?
You’ve taken the time to set up all the major social media accounts for your business. You post regularly and even “like” when a customer posts to your page, but you feel you’re not getting as much engagement as you should be getting. How can you fix this? Easy. Social media marketing isn’t just about regular posting. It’s focused on providing your customers with the opportunity to interact with you and each other. Through these interactions, you can build better relationships and increase the opinion of your business.
Social media marketing is not about selling and posting random content. You should engage with your customers in a number of different formats. As a result, you’ll build relationships and engagement on your pages.
