Facebook Jobs Module
If you’re looking to hire for an open position at your business, there’s an easy way to do it through Facebook Jobs! This module’s purpose is to allow a business page to post a job opening and receive applications directly through Facebook. Candidates can apply through the Facebook Jobs module on their desktop or through their mobile device. You, as the business manager, can respond to candidates and schedule interviews all through Facebook messenger with your business account.
By default, the job post stays active for 30 days but you can close or extend the job posting length as needed. The great part about Facebook’s jobs module is that you don’t have to pay anything to post it! However, you do have the option to put money behind the post to boost it in order to reach a larger, or perhaps a better targeted, audience.
In the Edit section of the job posting, you can enter your location so that nearby jobseekers can find your job opening easily. Additionally, you’ve got the option to enter a salary range, designate whether the position is full-time or part-time, provide questions for candidates to answer, and more.
Why social media?
Why should your business post job applications on social media, specifically Facebook? According to a study performed by ADP, 14.4 million people used social media when applying for jobs. Also, 73% of employers used social media in looking for employees and over half of those believe the quality of the applicants improved significantly after incorporating social media in the hiring process.
The jobs module is a better solution than simply posting a regular, unboosted social media post with a link to a job application to your Page. Using this tool, a candidate can easily apply for a position without being redirected to a different website, turning the application process into a hassle-free experience.
Bay City Tire & Wheel recently posted an open position through Facebook’s jobs module. This can be edited in Facebook Business Manager. You can see that there’s an option to boost the job, edit the description, or close the job.
To the potential applicant, this is what the post would look like viewed on Facebook. The description can be as short or long as you’d like. You’ll notice that, as the Facebook Page’s business manager, you can see how many people have looked at the job post and how many people have applied.
If you're interested in posting a job through Facebook, make sure to ask your Net Driven Customer Relationship Manager for more information. They'll make sure to pass along your request to our Social Media Specialists.
