Making the most out of summer using social media
Summer means family vacations, road trips, picnics, and spending time outdoors. It’s also a time for new tires and overall car care checks. Use these tips to learn how to market your business on social media while having fun in the sun
Summer has some of our favorite holidays: Father’s Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Mark your calendars and plan ahead. Along with special promotions for these days, have some fun and create a contest. Dads and cars are a classic combination. Have customers post a picture of their dad with their favorite car. The picture with the most likes wins a free car wash or other service.
Community picnics, bazaars, and state fairs are some of the best parts of summer. Great food, games, and seeing friends are something everyone can get involved with. If you have one of these near your shop, get involved! Sponsor a food or game tent. Is there a race or other competition that happens at one of these events? Sponsor a player or the whole event and give away a prize.
You want your customers to know how thankful you are for their commitment to you. Throw them a picnic! If you have the room available, invite your customers to your shop. Bring out the grill and cook up burgers and hot dogs. Provide games and offer an incentive. As a thank you to your customers, anyone that comes to enjoy the picnic gets a voucher for a free car wash, oil change, or other service. You can market this event by posting on your Facebook page, creating an event and boosting it. You can also create posters to hang at your shop. Don’t forget to take a lot of pictures to post on your social pages and to add to your social stories.
Traveling Photo Contest:
Where are your customers going this summer after getting a service from your shop? Any customers that come in before their next road trip, ask them to take a photo of where their vehicle is taking them, upload to social media and tag your shop, and they will be entered in a raffle to win a prize from your shop. Contests like this extend your reach beyond your followers and allow others to find your business!
Car care and summer go hand in hand. By following these summer marketing tips, you help your customers out with excellent services and they help you by getting the word out about your business.
